Repaginate for book style pages

I have a small document about 6 8 1/2" X 11" pages vertical. I want to turn
it into a book style document with the pages stapled in the spine of the
booklet. I would take 8 1/2 X 11 horizontal and place page 1 on the left side
of the page, etc.

I would like to copy the original document into the booklet format. I am at
a loss to find how I can do this. I am using WORD 2007.

Your help and guidance will be most appreciated.
