Repair

Hi
I am trying to repair my Office2000. After analyzing
Office the repair-program keeps asking for a CD with the
file "data1.msi". However I cannot find this file anywere
and therefore has to stop the repair-process.
Please HELP.

Hi Bob

First it is trying to find the file in the OFFICE 2000 -
folder(s) without any luck then it asks me to try to find
the file somwhere else. I have been searching all original
CDs with the office suite - but could not find any. Also I
have made a total search on all folders on my PC - again
no luck. I have even tried Microsoft's homepage - same
result.
I have Windows 98

Hi Poul,

Is the Edition of Microsoft Office shown on your
CD the same as shown in Add/Remove Programs in
the Windows Control Panel?

Can you complete a Detect & Repair from the Help=>Menu
in Word?

Do you have a separate listing in Add/Remove Programs
for MS Publisher 2000, MS FrontPage 2000 or MS Word 2000?
If so, it may be looking for one of those CDs.
When it asks for the disk what name is shown in
the 'use feature from box'?

What version is the MSIExec.exe file on your PC?
