Repairing corrupted/damaged files

Does anyone know how to repair a corrupted/damaged file?

The document that has corrupted contains lots of text boxes (don't know if
this caused it)

The error message shown says

'Word Experienced an error trying to open the file. ....'

As to the cause of damaged doc, I do not know and struggle myself with many
similar issues. Because of this, I found the method described here to be
very helpful in repairing documents I thought were lost for good:

I have tried the open and repair method but it still doesn't work.

Does anyone else have any ideas?
