Repairing Office 2003 after Office 2007 uninstall

M

Murali

Problem and my various attempts which failed so far.

Problem History
* Had both 2007 and 2003 installed in parallel
* Now removed 2007
* If I run 2003, it asks for my installation source (specifically
SKU011.CAB), which I dont have access to now.

Attempted Solutions
* I do have a whole bunch of .cab files, SKU011.XML as well as PRO11.MSI in
the "C:\MSOCache\All Users\<Some long Number>" folder.
* Instead of clicking on Word 2003 link under "Programs > Office", if I
directly run "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\WinWord.exe", it
loads up word, tries to install something which again asks for my
installation source. Hitting cancel on the installation dialog box about 5
times, eventually lets me use word.
* Choosing "Detect and Repair" again leads to the same problem.

* I have noted my Product ID under "Help > About Microsoft Word".
* I have Office 2003, SP2.
* Tried downloading the full version of "Office2003 SP2" which shouldn't
require a Installation source. It complained that it couldn't find a product
to upgrade (or some such thing).

* I tried the "Windows Installer clean up" utility and it did not list
Office 2007 at all.

Currently, either I have to live with hitting cancel 5 times everytime I use
an Office 2003 product OR remove it and install Office XP (for which I have
the CD's with me).

Any suggestions would be great.

Why don't you have the Office 2003 CDs?

I installed Office 2003 from a network (Department had a site license). I
dont have access to the network now.
