"Repairs" message in Word appears useless.

I don't understand why Word insists on repairing brand new docs that I
create. How do new docs get corrupted within the first five minutes of their
lives?

How are you creating the documents? If these are blank documents, then you
may have a corrupt Normal.dot. If you are creating them from another
template or document, that may be corrupt.

Just so you know, this is a question (new post) rather than a
Suggestion for Microsoft.

Suggestion type posts are more for application enhancements that can
