Repeat a name throughout doc???

Hi,

I'd sure appreciate a tip from anyone who could help.

I have a contract that's a Word 2003 doc. I'd like to be able to type a
name in once and have it inserted at various points throughout the document.
I know this must be rather simple, but the solution isn't leaping out at me.

Anyone get me pointed in the right direction?

Thanks,

Mark

Actually the easiest thing to do is create an autotext entry. You hit a key
combo and F3 and it inserts the same text each time.

If this is a circumstance where the contents of the name may change over
time, it might be worth it to investigate using fields. A field is a set of
codes that instructs Microsoft Word to insert text, graphics, page numbers,
and other material into a document automatically. For example, the DATE
field inserts the current date.

I'm pretty sure you can define custom fields, but you'll have to read the
Help.
