Hi Terry,
You should place a formfield in the letter where you will first type the
company name. That formfield will automatically have a bookmarkname
assigned to it so that in the other locations, you can use a cross-reference
to the text of the bookmark. To get the cross-references to be updated
automatically, check the "Calculate on exit" box in the Properties dialog
for the formfield.
Formfields are inserted from the Forms toolbar that can be displayed by
clicking on it when you select Toolbars from the View menu.
Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.
Hope this helps

I have prepared a standard resume cover letter. What I want to do is when
I type in a new company's name in the first paragraph I would like that name
to automatically update the other references to that company's name
throughout the body of the letter. Is there an automatic way of doing this
without having to use find and replace?
