repeat contacts in Auto Text list

my Word Auto Text list seems add repeat copies of my Entourage contacts so
that they appear as:

FirstName LastName
FirstName LastName 2
FirstName LastName 3
FirstName LastName 4

up to 9 copies in the Auto Text Organizer

this prevents the contacts from being Auto Text options while typing in a
document and therefore disabling the ability to automatically add their
address or phone or email.

i have tried to remove them manually from the organizer, but this is tedious
and the contacts eventually multiply again.

does anyone know what is happening here or how to prevent this?

thanks

Try Google groups. It is a famous problem, for which I can't remember
the solution, but Google can.
I use Apple's mail and Address Book. That prevents it.

'Features' like that discourage me from using more than the bare
minimum of Microsoft products in any single machine.

Word and Excel have enough redeeming features, but the rest have been
consigned to Room 101 long go, except, once a month or so, when some
poor misguided clipboard toting, table thumping, meeting going middle
manager sends me a .ppt that I have to read in order to get paid.
