Repeat Row Heading Option in Word 2003

M

Marilyn

I have a 9 page Word document with a table that starts from page 2 and stops
on page 8. I select the first row of the table go to the Table menu, and
select Heading Rows Repeat, however, nothing happens. The first row is not
repeating.

What setting should I check to fix this?

Thanks,

In order to see the repeating row, you must be in Print Layout view; it
won't be displayed in Normal or Web Layout view since it is only an
artifact. Make sure your table isn't broken anywhere and that text wrapping
(Table tab of Table Properties) is set to None.

This is something that could happen only in Word 2002 or 2003, as previous
versions don't allow a wrapped table to break across pages, so you would see
a problem right away. It's not a bad idea to check the box in Tools |
Options | Compatibility for "Don't break wrapped tables across pages."
