Repeated or multiple-day events cannot sync to Exchange server

Within the last week Entourage calendar events that either repeat or
stretch across multiple days cannot sync. This error appears: "Could
not synchronize record: [calendar event] to Exchange server."
Moreover, Entourage is duplicating these events in the its calendar,
creating dozens of occurrences of the same event. I've tried
rebuilding the database, which helped for a while, but the problem
returned within a few hours.

A recent MS patch for Exchange, KB912442, may have created this. If
so, there appears to be no patch yet according to this:

Also, a side effect seems to be I can no longer sync my iPhone.

Is anyone else seeing this problem? If so, how did you solve it?

Thanks

I've had the same problem through SyncSerivces. Did you set your prefs
to sync Entoruage to iCal??

What version of Entourage are you using?

Yes, Entourage is syncing to iCal.

I suspect that this is where the duplication is coming from.
Synching to ical very often induces duplication of recurring all-day
events :-\

To clean things up, I always assign a category to events. I created a
custom view for all events on my Exchange account so that I could see
them all in a list.
Sort by Category: I can then delete all events in the list that don;t
have a category affected.

It's a real pain. I don't know whether it is a SyncService or an
Entourage bug, but it's a nasty one.

To check this, you could simply disable synching to iCal for a while.
Events should stop duplicating.
