Repeating a math function down a column

Dave

Hi probably a silly question here but I can't figure it out. I am
trying to make a table where I have two numbers say A3 and A4 and have
them multiplied to give the product in A5....this I can do for one
cell at a time. Is there a way to format the formula so it will
continue this formula for the next row down ie B3 times B4 = B5
without me putting the formula in each spot in the "5" column?

Thanks
Dave

After you have entered the first formula, select that cell. In the bottom
right-hand corner is a dot which will turn into a cross when you move the
mouse onto it. Click here and drag the mouse down and this will auto-fill
the formula down.

Hi Dave
if you enter =A3*A4 in cell A5 you can just copy this cell to all
other columns in this row.

Hi,
If you copy the formula down into the columns underneath
it will work out properly.
I hope this helps.
