Repeating heading rows to say "continued"

L

Lynn

Is there a way to insert the word "Continued" in a repeating heading row on
subsequent pages of a table? For example, I want to say, "Key Concepts" in
the head row on the first page and "Key Concpets continued" on subsequent
pages.

Thanks,
Lynn

Lynn,

No built in way, but there is a work around using a shape from the
drawing bar.

Type Key Concepts Continued as your repeating heading row.

"White out" the word "Continued" on the first page with a borderless
textbox or autoshape the same color as your background. Use the format
autoshape layout advanced button to lock the anchor to a paragraph in
the second row.

The following was posted on March 20 in response to a post with the subject
line "Table captions - Continued."

There's no built-in way to do this, but there is a workaround that might
work for you:

1. In your heading row, type "Table XX - Continued."

2. Create a text box or AutoShape (no line, white fill) to cover the "-
Continued" on the first page. In order to work, this "electronic whiteout"
must be anchored to a paragraph in the first nonheading row so it won't
repeat along with the headings.
