Repeating is the default! why?

VERY new to InfoPath - but help - please!

I have created my data source but when I create a form from scratch, from
Data Connection - all the controls and sections default to repeating!

I have to go through rather a long process involving right hand click,
select more, select one of the options way down the list... to add a non
repeating item.

When I do add more than one repeating section - and then preview it and
select for it to repeat, they BOTH repeat! :eek:(

What am I doing wrong???
