repeating macros

I last used macros years ago when I had WordPerfect. I never used Word
macros because I couldn't figure how to repeat them.

For example, I have a table of numbers in which I want to delete all the
percentages. So I wrote a macro to find the % and delete the number before
it.

In WP I would just tell it to repeat 50 times, or whatever it took to find
all the percentages and delete them. How do I do that in Word.

You don't need a macro for that. Use Find & Replace. With 'Use wildcards'
checked --

Find: [0-9.]@%
Replace: leave blank

Click Replace All.

Thanks. I've used find & replace often but never knew the wildcard
functions. Much appreciated.
