Man sometimes I just can't stand working with Microsoft products. The
amount of time spent tracking down the endless defects is just
staggering.
A new WinXP machine had Office 2000 installed. Then Office XP was
installed (to a different dir), keeping Office 2000 intact. Now, if
Office XP has been run, Office 2000 runs installer each time one of the
suite programs is opened. I have had this before, and previously I
believe it was solved via KB 265194 "Windows Installer Appears Every
Time a Program Is Started". The KB article offers a progression of three
steps to try - I think in the past, step 3 worked for me. Now, step one
is unworkable, as orktools.exe does not offer a submenu for lang ver.
Steps two and three don't improve anything.
