Repeating Rows and Columns

I am currently working on several Excel 2000 spreadsheets. These spreadsheets are from 20 to 60 pages in length. I am currently having a problem with the columns that repeat at the left. It seems that when I reach a certain point in the document, Excel adds a line to the row, and therefore, I have an extra line. It looks aweful. Sometimes it looks like a thick line and other times it look like there are two lines there. If I take the line out for that row, it disappears on some pages and other pages it is still there and it doesn't even line up with the cell correctly. I have tried everything from taking out and replacing the lines, to changing margins, putting in my own page breaks to scaling it down to 70%. Nothing works. Can anyone out there assist

Thank you.

Could you be more specific? What are you expecting to see? What are you
seeing instead?
