I have an InfoPath 2003 form I've created which includes a repeating
table with 10 columns. This repeating table has 4 rows. The bottom 2
rows are Text Boxes for data entry. The top 2 rows are the labels, or
names, associated with the 2 rows of text boxes underneath them. All
are contained within the same repeating table. By default, the tab
index of all controls in InfoPath are set to 0. This results in a
logical tab order of left to right, top to bottom. Therefore, by
default, this repeating table's tab order goes to the first column,
top text box then bottom text box, second column, top text box then
bottom text box, etc.
However, for this repeating table, we need to make the tab order go
from left to right in the first row of text boxes across all the
columns, then left to right in the bottom row of text boxes across all
the columns.
I've manually changed the tab index of all data entry controls in the
form from 0 through X so that the flow is more natural for our
purposes. It works perfectly until, in the repeating table, a new
data row (or in the case the 2 rows of text boxes) are added in order
to enter additional data in the text boxes. Once this happens, the
tab order goes wacky and jumps all over the place.
I've searched all over the place trying to find a fix for this, but
have been unsuccessful. I would greatly appreciate any and all help
and / or insight I could get about this issue. Thanks in advance for
your help!!
