Repeating Table

When I create a Repeating Table, say 7 values, I get the row strung out from
left to right. This is not the way I want them displayed, but I can't move
them. Perhaps what I need to do is create a Repeating Section and then place
the individual values where I want them to appear within the Section?
Am I overlooking something?

Hi John,

If you need to control your layout, yes, you could create a repeating
section and set the fields as you wish inside.

But, if you just want to re-order columns, you can do that with your
existing table.

To test this, drop a repeating table on your form with more than 2 columns.
Drag-and-drop field1 outside the table (there is now a red sign on the top
right corner of the field). Drag-ann-drop field2 where field1 used to be.
Last step, drag-and-drop field1 where field2 used to be. You just re-ordered
your columns.

Hope that it helps.

If it's important to you to lay out the controls in a particular way,
try using layout tables. You can merge and split cells to get very
flexible layout options.

Open the task pane. In the dropdown select Layout.

Assumes you are in design mode.
