Replace autonumber with static text

I had found a macro that did this in the past. Basically, I want to
take a document that has all its paragraphs auto-numbered and replace
the auto-number with static text. I am importing the documents into a
wiki, and the doc import strips the auto-number, thus I lose all
section numbers. So, for section 1.0, I want to replace that with 1.0
in static text. For section 1.1, I want to replace that with static
1.1 and so on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
