We have a wierd situation.
We currently have about 1200 employees in our department all on Exchange.
We've recently upgraded from 5.5 to 2003. At the same time, our parent has
changed our domain from one to another. We'd like to switch over to the new
domain.
At this time we have both domains olddomain.net and newdomain.com in
Exchange and on the GAL. This also shows up in most everybody's contact
list.
In addition, we have about 300 staff members with blackberry devices.
Deactivating the old domain requires people to individually go into the
contacts and update any contact created from the global list so that the
old domain is no longer listed. This will sync with the blackberry unit
and allow for the new domain to be shown.
My question: Is there any way to programmatically enter the Exchange
database, search for any occurrence of the old domain and replace it with
the new domain?
