Version: v.X
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

I use the replace dialog to find a font and replace it with a formatting style (say, Subhead).

But nothing changes.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Greg:

I did not think that Word v.X would run in OS 10.5??

Which kind of style were you using? A "paragraph" style will apply only to
a "paragraph", not to a character string within a paragraph.

Try recording a macro to search for the Font, quit the search, select the
whole paragraph, then apply your style.

And try to use the built-in Heading 1 through Heading 9 styles in place of
"Subhead". Your life will be massively easier when you come to making
things such as numbering and Tables of Contents work.

Hope this helps
