Replace image inside Word

Hi!

Anyone knows a way to replace an image inside MS Word in many files (more
than 5000 thousand) automatticaly?
The matter is that this documents were creted using a template that comes
with a large logo image in the header. So, every file consumes 500kb and if
this image is optimized, only 100kb, wich will reduce drastically tape
backup space.

You may want to post this in the Word graphics newsgroup
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.word.drawing.graphics

To do this would require a macro/programming effort and
would open and save every file. If possible, you may
want to consider linking rather than embedding the graphic
in future files.
