dsclothing,

I think I have worked out a way to use Replace in Files for centering the
pages in Pub 2003 and 2007. I am going to post it in another post for
testing. Please let me know if it works for you.

Google adsense...or however you want to spelt it...dunno....sorry.

David's Revised Method:

Find the </head> code, and replace with:

</head><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="2"
width="760"align="center"><tr><td>

Is working on my PUB 2007 Vista OS with replace in files

It has been simplified from what I was using which is good (KISS is a good
motto)

I wouldn't even want to think about the manual insertion of the code on
multiple page sites

Please describe your symptoms of replace in files NOT working and maybe
someone will have an answer for you

"Replace in" is working fine, I was forgetting to put in the asterisk (file
types-* .htm)

Pub 2000 uses .html as the default, but .htm was the default starting in
2002.

Your site gave me the idea of using just the one line of code above the
first body tag, and below the head tag. Jo's original code suggested putting
the line of code below the body tag, and including another line of code
above the final body tag. You had put the first line of code above the first
body tag, and when placed there it turned out that the second line of code
wasn't necessary. That is what made using Replace in Files easier, as you
need to run it only once to replace just one line of code instead of two. It
also solved the problem of finding a common line of code to replace below
the first body tag. Spike had found one for 2007, but it wasn't in all 2003
sites.

Anyway, thanks for your indirect help in evolving an answer for how to
center Pub web pages. It is at least easier now.
