Replace Pirated Office with Valid office

We purchased multiple computers at an Auction and we have used a couple of
them extensively. We have been told the office 07 enterprise on them is
pirated. The boss purchased 10 new copies of Office Pro Plus '07. Do i Have
to uninstall pirated versions to update with valid versions or is there a way
just to update with the valid key?

Thanks Joann. Is MS Outlook the only program with "legacy" data (.pst) that
should be backed up before uninstall of Pirated version? (We are not power
users so we don't have customizes toolbars, scripts, etc.) Or can I just
uninstall pirated version, install valid version, and all will be good? I
just don't want to lose hundreds of Contacts / Emails, etc. on multiple
machines. I really appreciate the help... Thanks in advance...

I have to be honest with you, up until I got my new computer this year I was
using Outlook Express so I never had to worry about backing up files. I
don't do a lot of customizing so I was content to install and run with
Office out of the box. I'm sure others can help you with what you'd need to
back up to maintain your email stuff.

You don't need to backup your Outlook .pst file (where Outlook keeps all its data) as user data is never touched when an Office program is uninstalled.
