replace text in multiple documents

I want to change the font size of some fixed text which
appears in hundreds of templates. Rather than going
through changing every single one does anyone know of a
3rd paty application (preferably freeware!) that could do
it, or even a way I could do it in Word 2002.

If the text is the same in each document, then you could use the replace
function
