I am trying to use the find and replace function to
highlight every occurance of a phrase in a document. I
cannot get the "replace" window to accept highlighting. I
thought I had done this once in the past. What am I
missing? (using Word 2000) thnx.

You can't do this on the Replace tab; the option to "Highlight all items
found" is on the Find tab.

Hi Fred,

If you want to apply "highlighted" as font (character) formatting:
It's not listed under "Format > Font" (... no idea why), but has an entry
"Format > Highlight" for itself.

You can leave "Replace with:" empty, or use ^&.

If you tried that already, and it doesn't work, I'm clueless too.

Regards,
Klaus
