Replace "?" with " "

H

Henry

I wish to replace every occurance of the questionmark with a space however
the replace menu item identifies the ? as a wild card and finds every
character.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Henry

Search for ~?

Check out "Wildcard characters you can use to find text or numbers"
in Help.

Put a tilda in front of the question mark in the "Find and Replace" dialog.

If the Replace dialog box, in Find What, enter a ~? and in the Replace
With, enter a space. The tilde says the next character is not a wildcard,
so it will work if you want to replace an asterisk (*) too.

Try entering a ~? is the Replace With field. It makes it so the next
character is not a wildcard.
