Replace word in footer of 100 word documents

While the article that Suzanne has posted *should* work to replace words in
a document, this is only the body of the document. And in any case, I can't
get it to work correctly in Word 2002 (though I seem to recall it worked
with earlier versions).

Attacking the footer needs a different technique. - see
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/MacrosVBA/FindReplaceAllWithVBA.htm
however, this only works on the current document :-(

The problem is being worked on. If you are unable to figure it out for
yourself. Watch this space.

Lucky for you - just change the word in one document. If
the footer is identical otherwise, in the remaining 99
documents, just copy and paste the line OR simply open
each document and make the change on the first page that
contains the footer, and all subsequent identical footers
will be changed.

Unfortunately, you do have to open each document
separately - try doing 10 documents at a time - you'll be
done in roughly an hour or less!

Good luck!
