replaced exchange with POP/SMTP

Our company has downsized significantly and replaced our Exchange Server with
a POP/SMTP service. We are having problems sending internally since the
Exchange server is offline. I have reviewed all of the settings and the test
account messages work. I can send to external addresses fine. DNS looks
okay. It seems like it is trying to use the old internal aliases/usernames.
for example RICWET instead of (e-mail address removed).
