Replacement for HTML Forms

U

Unni

Hi,
I have an application which sends mail via Outlook 2003 with an HTML Form
embedded inside. The receiver then replies back by filling in the form. Once
the mail reaches the inbox of the sender it will be parsed and values from
HTML controls will be saved to an access database. Now most of the users
switched to VISTA and hence are not able to see the controls in the HTML form
in their machine as Outlook 2007 does not support HTML forms.

I did found that Access 2007 however is able to generate .htm which is
recognized by outlook 20007. But .htm file generated did not carry any <form>
tags in it.

Please let me know how to proceed about the same.

Vista has nothing to do with its. What's relevant is the Outlook version.

You would need to use the same technique that Access uses (which I think is XML-based and compatible with Outlook 2003 and many other mail programs) or tell users they should use the View in Browser command in Outlook 2007 to view your mailing in their Internet browser.
