Replacing Text with a Number

I have a list of names (Column A) and a list of employee numbers
(Column B). I have a separate worksheet which I want to replace
employee names with their numbers for confidentiality. How can this
be done automatically? Thanks in advance for your help!

You can use a VLOOKUP function in a new column and hide the column
with names in (or will you be distributing the file to others?).
