replacing the index file on the host server

Hi! When I try to search for my website (in Pub 2003), I'm still getting my
host's advertising with "if you have reached this...you have prob not
replaced the index". I uploaded index.html and my site appears when you click
on the host advertising message. They said that my first page or home page
should be named index. Where do I do that? Thanks so much.

thank you..I just saw that on the page as I was viewing it, so I know that it
uploaded with the index.htm as the home page name. I followed your how-to
instructions - they're great. That being said, though, the host (Globat)
message is still not being replaced with my web site information. Probably
its a problem on their end? Thank you.

Pub 2003 does that, not you, if you are following the correct publishing
procedure. See the how-to's at

You'd have to post the URL for a review.
It could be you published to the wrong location, which is mentioned in the
trouble-shooting article on that page.

try refreshing your browser and see if the home page appears
and...some hosts don't propogate changes right away.
