Yes, it's possible. It is not well explained in the Help.
1) Copy what you want to find.
2) Open Replace and paste what you want to find in the Find What Box.
3) Manually change the first instance to what you want, and apply the
formatting.
4) Precisely select the correctly-formatted text you want to replace with,
and Copy.
5) In the Replace dialog, click the little blue button (which should be
labelled "More" but they forgot...)
6) Click in the Replace With box
7) Make sure there is no text or spaces in there
8) At the bottom, click the Special button.
9) Choose "Clipboard Contents" This option will not appear if your
insertion point was not in the Replace With box when you clicked Special.
Now do your replace. If you have correctly loaded the clipboard, Word will
replace whatever it finds with whatever you have in the clipboard. Try a
few, and when you are satisfied that it's working right, hit Replace All.
Cheers
I want to find some text and replace it with text that is partially
regular and partially in italics. Is this possible in Word 2004? If so,
where would I go to learn how to do it? Thanks.
