Reply Forms Problem/VISTA

Hi there all~ I have read the past posts regarding "Form Controls" and the
need post your Publisher Web Site with HTTP protocol, rather then FTP (sorry
if my language is off...not a tech person in the least...) for them to work,
and it makes sense. The site I did with FTP and no form controls works
beautifully, but this new one that has an order page, gives me the "Error:
Http 404 not found" and the description of that error does not help.

While the articles for the HTTP protocol are great, they do not follow "the
wonderful world of Vista" path, and I am lost as to where I can actually PUT
IN the HTTP protocol URL, as I'll be damned if I can even FIND the
traditional "My Network Places" area. Yes--I have the Control Panel, Network
and Sharing Center, but then where??? (Sorry, I know this isn't a VISTA site,
but I am hoping someone can guide me??)

Is there a article that is driven for Vista? (Grrrr....) and getting the
Publisher Forms to work? This site has been awesome and has helped me learn
MANY things. I know this is a somewhat SIMPLE thing and must be under my
nose, but I'll be damned if I can find it...

Thanks everyone!
....Maria

Did you activate the FrontPage Server extensions on your host? Did you test
the site to see if they were working? The way to test them is included in
that article you read about forms. Did you ever use FTP uploading for this
particular site? If so, you may have corrupted the FPSE, in which case you
may need to disable or uninstall them, and then reinstall them. And you
might have to delete old Publisher html files that are on your site, and
start fresh.

Then you might want to reread the article about uploading with HTTP by David
Bartosik, and then read: Prepare, publish, and maintain your Publisher Web
site:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/publisher/HA100947601033.aspx
Things did get a bit more complicated with Vista, and specifically IE7. Read
the details on this page about Vista vs. XP, and perhaps that will help you
sort it out.
