Reply, Reply To All, Forward, New Grayed Out

I have Outlook 2003 Student edition. The reply, reply to all, forward, and
new options are grayed out in the main tool bar. When I open up a message
they are also grayed out in the message's tool bar.

I have also looked in the Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks and the "New" button
in those are also grayed out.

I have tried repairing Outlook through the Add/Remove programs system.
Still no go.

Any ideas?
