Hi, there -- I get emails back from others where they have commented on specific parts of my email, and their comments appear in an other color, with brackets around them, and often with their initials.

I would like to do the same in Entourage, but I have not found an automatic way to make this happen. Any clues?

thanks!

Is this HTML or plain text? HTML is awful for replies. I suggest clicking on
the HTML icon ab/ab and switch any HTML message to plain text. Now Entourage
will show you by the colored text setting what was quoted text.

Hi:
I need to know what is the procedure for configuring the Entourage 2008 when I reply to somebody I can have a different font color on my comments. I´m migrating from Outlook and I had that option.

Thanks in advance.

Plain text does that for you automatically. There is no setting to do this
for HTML in Entourage. You would have to individually select font color from
the tool bar.

If this is a feature you would like to see, send feedback:

When working in Office, you can use the ³Send Feedback² option under the
Help menu in all of the Office applications.

The following directions apply to Entourage 2004, but I don't think they've
changed in Entourage 2008.

When you are composing a message in HTML format, there is a bar of icons
between the subject line and the text area that allow you to control bold,
italic, underlining, color, and other text features. This is the bar that
Diane referred to as the "tool bar".

If you are composing a message in text format, like this one, those buttons
are grayed out. You can also use the commands on the Format menu. You can
switch between text and HTML format using the icon at the very left of the
icon row.

Note, however, that you will raise the hackles of some recipients of e-mail
or news messages by using HTML instead of plain text.

Under Entourage in the Menu bar, select Preferences.

1. Select your Font choices.
2. Select Compose choices. Mail Format: select either plain text or HTML.
It's always best to select plain text for news as some newsgroups do not
accept HTML.
3. Next under Reply, you can select to "reply to messages in the format in
which they were sent" or you can toggle off HTML with the ab/ab button and
it will reply in plain text.
