report based on current record in form/subform

I need to be able to generate a report based not on an entire query but only
on the information currently displayed on a form and its 2 subforms. The
subforms were composed with linked child & master fields to the main form.
(They display, in Datasheet View, the records contained in a subset of a
query, as determined by the current record of the query on which the parent
form is based).

So far so good, but I can't see a direct way to transfer data from these
subforms to a report, nor can I see how to associate the report with the
various (and nebulous) recordsources for the form.

Is there an example of what I'm trying to do, out there?

Hi Allen,
Maybe it's wrong but I think you should change your subform to tabular view,
then you can put a button on the subform (in detail section, of course) to
send your subform ID to the report - (or report's recordsource).
