Report Format

I have prepared a query which counts the number of customers for each year.
When I set up the report, I would like the years to be at the top of the
columns across the page and the count for each year under each year. I
cannot get it to go into this format. It lists the years down the page with
the count beside each year. Is there a way I can change this format.

Create a grouping section for the yearfield an place the yearfield in that
section. This will create the reportformatting you're after.

You can do this with the reportwizard but if you already have the report you
can do this in design and go to the grouping button in the menubar. If you've
selected the yearfield you should at the options in the dialog an set the
group header to yes.

I did already have the year field in a grouping. It still lists the years
down the page rather than across.

Ronnie,

I'm sorry I guess I misunderstood. Reading your post again I presume you
mean a crosstable report? In that case use the reportwizard to create a
report based on a crosstab query. That will give you the years on top and the
data beneath the years.
