Report has ### instead of numbers

New to Project. Trying to print 'who does what when' report, but all nonzero
values show as #### - as Excel does when column width is too narrow. There's
plenty of whitespace over to the right of the Landscape page but Project
seems to be trying to fit the whole thing into a portrait width.

If I specify column totals I get the data fields displayed, but most column
totals show as ####!

Very annoying! Is this a bug or is there a hidden configuration parameter?

It sounds like you are trying to print a crosstab report such as the Who
Does What When or Cash Flow report. If so, here's how to solve the problem:

1. Open the project in question
2. Click View - Reports
3. Double-click the section containing the report
4. Select the troublesome report and then click the Edit button
5. Click the Details tab
6. Select a Date format that is wider than the current Date format (for
example, replace "1/28, 1/29, ..." with "1/28/02, 1/29/02, ...")
7. Click OK then click Close and then click Close again
8. Print preview the report to see if this has solved your problem
9. If not, repeat steps 2-8 until you select a wide enough date format to
solve the problem

Step #6 above is the key step, as the Date format you select controls the
width of each column. Hope this helps.

I'm having the same problem in MS Project 2000. Unfortunately, my version
doesn't have the option you list. Any other way around it?
