report margins changing

I am currently running Tony Toews Auto FE Updater which works really well. I
have an issue however with my report margins.
*Most of my reports have adjusted margins of 5,5,10,10. The problem that I
am facing is that everytime the program is opened the page margins are reset
to normal preset of 24.5. Is there some sort of code that will allow me to
overwrite this so that my users are not constantly having to change this.
(They tend to not pay attention and hit print right away). What can I do
about this?

Ok, this probably has nothing to do with Tony Toews' Auto FE Updater.

I am guessing that you designed your reports with a specific printer. If you
do that (and don't use the default printer) then when you move the application
to a new computer with no access to that specific printer, the margins will
get reset.


If you are using Access 2000 this is a known bug and is documented in the
Microsoft Knowledgebase articles:

240826 'Lost Printer Settings when Name Autocorrect is turned on'

245021 'List of Fixed Problems in Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a
(SR-1/SR-1a)'

For a short term fix:
Turn off the Name Autocorrect feature as a temporary 'fix'.
To turn off this feature go to
Tools|Options|General

Then download and install the Service Release 1/1a.
