report summary

Hi all,
I have a report with 1 grouping - myStatus. In the myStatus header I have a
count(*) field that counts the records in the details for each group.This
works fine. However I'd like to summarize these counts at the end of the
report as well - maybe in the report footer.
I originally used a subreport that returned these counts using the same
query that the report is run from but this query has user inputs and
requires the user to enter the parameters twice. Looking for a better way to
do this. Hope someone can help.

IMO, parameter prompts are rarely if ever justified in software
http://www.tek-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=6763. Consider creating a small form
where users can enter criteria.

Good idea! Especially since I have about 5 reports that will use the same
date range.
