report to pdf

Hi,

i'am trying to convert an msaccess2000 report into a pdfreport. Now i'am so
far i can create the pdfreport, but i will save the pdfreport in a separte
dierectory . I 'v tried with the msofilepicker and save as but i can 't give
it an automatic name. I want the pdf-report saved in the directory
"C:\test\" end the name of the pdf-file must been a nunber eg "012345.pdf"
01234 is an ordernumber which is on the report and also on a form. I want to
create AND save the pdf with a click on a buttom on the active form.

Is there anywhere a link i can see an examle of this or can somebody help
me through about this.

What's the point of the msoFilePicker if you want to specify the name? Are
you trying to let them pick the folder?

If so, check http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0002.htm at "The Access Web".

Alternatively, to give the user the ability to override your selected
default file name, you can use the code in
http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0001.htm which allows you to specify a
file name.

Hi,
i can't figure it out .
Mnie situation is . I'am on an ac2000 form and by a click i generate a
report in access and convert into a pdfdocument.
It will be the intention, that al of this will been working on the
background.
I try to save the pdf-document by automatisation and give it a name eg. the
orderID en with extension ".pdf" in a secific map eg "C:\orders\"
on the report there is a field "orderid" , wich is the first part of the new
filename. OrderId is also on the form where i click on a buttum to realise
all this.Order id is also put into a public variabele where i can use it for
further needs.

How can i give My orderId tot the pdf-fie and save it ,close the
pdf-program without interaction of the end-user ?
