Report to show resources that do not have any a task assigned for

W

Hi, I'm working on setting up Project 2007 for the Project Manager here at a
Remodeling company. One thing he needs that I haven't figured out yet is a
report or filter that will show a list of the workers that do not have any
work hours assigned for the current day, or that has available hours for that
day...i.e. say a carpenter has a task for the day assigned at 8am that will
take 4 hours, but then doesn't have anything else for the day. He would like
to check each morning to make sure all the workers have a full day of tasks
assigned. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for any help!

William,
There are various ways to provide a report of resource availability but
perhaps the easiest is to display the Resource Usage view. Set the
timescale to show days (probably in the bottom tier). You might then
want to group (Project/Group By/Customize Group By) by the Start field
(assignments) and then by the Name field (resource). Finally apply the
Date Range filter to limit the data to just one or a few days.

Some of the timescaled fields that may be useful are:
Work
Unit Availability
% Allocation

Hope this helps.

You can also use the Resource Graph, and right click on it and choose
"Availablity".

Hope this helps in your world.
