report wizard hangs

Hello,

I've noticed every once in a while when I try to create a report through the
reports wizard, Access hangs. Is this a bug in Access?

I'm running Access 2002.

Hard to tell...

Is your PC running any other software at the time? For example, automatic
download/update, antivirus, disk defragmenter, ... Have you tried checking
Task Manager to see what else might be running, and whether Access is just
taking a long time or is hung and not responding?

It varies every time. Sometimes I may have multiple other windows open
sometimes it's just the Access program that's open. I'm wondering if Access
becomes unstable if the front end file gets too big?? Mine front end mdb file
is currently 13MB but I've seen this happen with the file as small as 4MB
too.

Access databases over 100 Mbytes can have fine performance. I don't believe
the size is the issue.

Have you tried searching on-line on this topic to see if anyone else has run
into something similar?

Have you made sure that you always have an available default printer defined
in Windows Control Panel?
