Report - Wizard Print problems

Hi,

Students at the college where I work are asked to design a report based on a
simple query using the Auto Report Columnar or Tabular wizard. No problem
producing the report and it displays on the screen OK. On pressing the print
command the print icon appears in the task bar but nothing prints, on
opening the printer window there is no job in the print queue.

This problem only occurs with the Auto Report wizard. I have looked at the
print settings but if the same report is made in design view then there is
no problem. I don't know if this is relevant but we are using Access 2000 on
Win2K Pro, the PC's are using a network printer [HP 2300n].

The original release of Office / Access 2000 had a number
of problems. If you have the original release, you need
to apply all the Service Packs / Service Releases to make
Access 2000 stable and workable. I think for Office /
Access 2000, Microsoft has released up to SP3.

Probably the most important one is the SR1a but if you
spend time applying the packs / releases, you may as well
do the whole lot, including patches for W2K.
