I use Access 97 with Windows 2000. On my old PC, which had Windows 98 and
was very low powered, complex reports created by the report wizard would
occasionally freeze resulting in having to Ctrl, Alt, Delete Access and
occasionally even the PC.
I was not too surprised by that but was surprised to find that this happened
even more frequently on this (comparatively) higher powered PC with Win2000.
I see I'm not alone with this prob but I've noticed that so far, reports,
however complex the grouping, never crash with the wizard if, instead of
choosing the default Preview Report option, I choose the Modify Report
Design option.
If anyone here has a similar setup, what has been your experience with the
Report Wizard? Does it happen as often with other Operating Systems and
Versions of Access? Or has yours always run seamlessly however complex the
report?
