Report won't hold format when closed and reopened

I'm using Access 2000 and a label report keeps losing is
format (it's supposed to be a 5160 AVERY but it defaults
to a single column of labels). Also a legal size report
keeps going back to a 81/2 by 11 format.

Also in Access XP (operating an Access 2000 db) - similar
problem in that can't get a report to expand to legal size.
