Report won't open

I created a database that is replicated for 3 people. The master is in one
folder on the network, I syncronize to each individual's replcia on the
network then they copy it back to their laptops.

The problem...

All was working fine. Then suddenly after the last synchronization, the
users can not open one of the reports. It looks like it's trying to open but
just doesn't. When they finally stop the report they would get an error
"Runtime error 438". The only thing I had done between synchonizations was:
when I worked on a totally different database I had to use the Microsoft DAO
3.6 Object Library. So I tried unselected that and synchronized again. The
report still does not open, but when they stop it they do not get the error
anymore.

When I open their replicas, I have no problem. It's only after they copy it
to their laptop that they have the problem.

Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? (I hope I explained their
clearly enough. I am fairly new to programming.)

I think this happened to me once, on a clients machine. No replication, but I could
run the reports on my system... they couldn't on theirs. No error, just wouldn't open.
Actually, I got the answer here on the NG...

The user did not have a default printer defined in Windows.

That may be a real "shot in the dark", but something to check on.

I will ask the users if they have a default printer. It's unlikely that is
the problem because their are 2 of them with the problem. But it's worth a
shot.
