Report_Close

I am using Access 97. In the Report_Close event of a report, I want to ask a
user a question and if they respond NO then I don't want the report to close
(because I want to make sure that they print the report before they close out
of it).

In the help text it says that I should be able to cancel out of the Close
event for a Form or Report but I only seem to be able to do that for a Form
(not a report).

Any way I can get this to work?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Possibly the question should be, Has This Report Been Printed (Yes/No)? If
they select No, force it to print.

Another method is to set a value in a work DB for the user when they print
the report (use the print event to set). When they close the report check
the temp DB, if the value is set it has been printed; otherwise force it to
print. Remember to remove the print record from the Temp though. If you are
using a linked data source, place the Temp DB local to the UI.

BigJohn, Thanks for your quick response!

I know I said that the user should be asked if they have printed the report
but I gave that as an example; they also may want to export to excel, email,
fax, etc. I just want to be able to ask the user a question when they close
out of the report and if they respond No then do not close the report. Can I
do this?
