Hi
My company is using just upgraded from Office 2000 to
Office 2002. We are using Windows 2000. Office 2002
Service Pack 2 is installed.
Now I'm having problems with my custom menus!
I found this article describing the problem but it is for
Word 2000 only !
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;324375

I experience that exact problem in Word 2002 (and Excel
2002, the only difference is that I don't recieve any
error messages. When I press the button nothing happens!)

HELP !!!

Hi Peter,

What is the level for Macro Security? In Tools/Macros/Security/Trusted
Sources tab do you have "Trust all installed add-ins and templates"
turned on?

Is the template a global template placed in the Word Startup folder?
Or is it a template placed in the Templates folder?

The security level is set to Medium, the "Trust all
installed add-ins and templates" is on!

The macro is not in a template ....

If the macro is not stored in a template then where is it stored???

Additionally, as of Word 2002 there is only one trusted Startup folder
and that is the Word Startup folder referenced under
Tools/Options/File Locations.

In the past Word had two trusted startup folders, the Word Startup
folder and the Office\Startup folder. If you have a global template in
the Office\Startup folder then it is no longer considered a trusted
source and you will encounter the Macros notification.
